NOTE: Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for the nature walk.

You are invited to an "Evening in the Garden", an evening of food, wine, art and music at the Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden. The event will be held in this unique setting on Saturday evening, September 18th, 2010 in conjunction with the 52nd Annual Catalina Festival of Art and hosted by the Avalon Rotary Club.

The event begins with a stroll along the beautiful nature trail, bordered by endemic plants and shaded by large trees. As the trail winds up to the Memorial guests will enjoy Rusack Vineyard wines, visit appetizer stations and listen to musicians along the trail while the remainder of the band plays from the dining area below the Memorial.

An elegantly plated, white table-clothed dinner, catered by Avalon's noted Chef Greg Wenger of the Ristorante Villa Portofino, will be served under the stars below the statuesque Wrigley Memorial. The evening will also feature silent and live auctions with not-to-be-missed travel, adventure and art items. The winning ticket for the Hawaiian Vacation Raffle will be drawn during the evening. Proceeds will support Avalon's youth and Rotary charities. Tickets are $80 per person and reservations are required.

We look forward to seeing you at the "Evening in the Garden" on Catalina.

Beautiful Avalon Canyon is paintable in all seasons; surrounded by native plants, fresh air, and warm sunlight. Artist Edward Vander Velde has a unique gift for capturing the pristine landscape on canvas. His original painting, featured in our poster below, will be auctioned during the event.
